在英語教學領域這麼多年，從兒美教到大學，再從大學教到社會人士，這幾年的觀察，我發現孩子們學了好幾年的兒童美語之後，成功建立了聽跟說的流暢度(fluency)，但若要持續進步，只單靠語感已經無法應付越來越複雜的句子，此時，就需要開始做規則的整理，進入正確用法的訓練(accuracy)。
其實，文法不是僅著重規則的熟稔，更需要知道功能以及不同文法所傳達的含意，才不會造成溝通和理解的誤解。
以下這段文字最能表達我對於文法學習的態度~~
Grammar is the structural foundation of our ability to express ourselves. The more we are aware of how it works, the more we can monitor the meaning and effectiveness of the way we and others use language.
